Mission Statement

At Pet Kolo, our mission is to make pet sitting easier, more affordable, and more fun. Pet Kolo is a passion project built to create a community of guardians who share pet-sitting responsibilities in a more trusted, supportive way.

What We Believe

• We believe pet care is too expensive.
• We believe that for animal lovers, watching animals is not a chore or a job, and most would happily watch another's pets out of love for animals and community.
• Pet care is better run as a community than as a profit-first business.

How We Operate

We have heard too many stories where a sitter hides the truth to protect a paycheck, or looks after a pet as if it were just another task. That is not the spirit of Pet Kolo. Here, someone who cares for your pet does it out of community goodwill and a genuine love of animals. We lean on one another, sharing responsibility so that every member and their pets can be well taken care of.

We are building a community driven platform that rejects price gouging and opaque practices. As a Public Benefit Corporation, our goal is simple: fair pricing and genuine respect for people (and their animals). We will always pursue that goal through open and ethical business practices.

Why we chose the name Pet Kolo

The word kolo is used in parts of Eastern Europe to mean "circle," and it can also refer to a traditional community circle dance. Pet Kolo is built on the same idea: a trusted circle of people supporting each other with pet care.
